1996
Well Link Bank formerly known as “Bank Espirito Santo Ltd.” was established in Macau, laying the foundation for the Group’s banking business.
2000’s
2005
Well Link Securities has been granted Type 1 License by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and has officially commenced Hong Kong stock brokerage business, marking the start of the Group’s securities segment.
2009
Well Link Securities has obtained a Type 2 License, adding futures and options brokerage services to expand its product line from "stocks" to "stocks + derivatives".
2018
Well Link Bank completed two rounds of capital increase within the year, significantly boosting its capital base, while deepening its commitment to inclusive finance.
Well Link Securities launched the Well Link Securities App, achieving complete digitalization of real-time Hong Kong stock quotes and mobile order execution.
2019
Well Link Life Insurance Well Link Life obtained its license from the Hong Kong Insurance Authority and launched life insurance operations in July, completing the Group’s duallicense layout in general and life insurance.
Well Link Bank Issued VISA/UnionPay dual‑currency credit cards and became the only local bank in Macau included in the underwriting syndicate for the Ministry of Finance’s inaugural 20 billion RMB government bond issuance; fintech upgrades supported branch expansion.

Well Link Bank, its predecessor, was renamed Novo Banco Asia, positioning itself as a financial bridge between China and Portuguese-speaking countries and paving the way for the Group’s Greater Bay Area strategy.

Well Link Financial Group made its entry into the insurance sector by acquiring Fungya Insurance, securing a full general insurance license in Hong Kong.

Well Link Insurance, formerly Fungya Insurance, was officially renamed Well Link Insurance, achieving brand unification.
Well Link Bank's New shareholders were introduced, clarifying the Group-level strategy of “anchoring in Hong Kong and Macau, bridging the Greater Bay Area.”
Well Link Securities, in alignment with the Group’s strategy, backend upgrades were completed, establishing a unified client account system across the Group and realizing the initial integration of “Banking + Securities” client connectivity.
